Real World Experience

As an illustration of our expertise, this is an exclusive look that you will not find elsewhere about how the scam operates behind the scenes:

  • Deceptive practices by solar panel sales and installation contractors, including the financiers who act as co-conspirators by enabling, facilitating, and ratifying misconduct by providing  loan and lease servicing for residential solar projects which are induced by fraud.
  • The financiers use an online and paperless, point-of-sale system to originate loans, primarily for residential solar systems and home improvements that consumers neither need or can afford.
  • The financiers run these consumer loan and lease programs for solar home improvements to grow their business, attracting  contractors on the sales and installation part of the conspiracy by promising higher sales via financing. Under this, contractors and sales representatives act as the financiers' effective business partners, selling systems and securing loans simultaneously, enabling quick closures and revenue growth.
  • The financier authorizes these salespeople to submit finance applications on its behalf, effectively making them partners in the loan origination. However, it fails to verify if these sales reps comply with regulations for selling solar panels, installations, and financing.  We find they never do.  Yes, never.
  • The financier enables instant loan or lease approvals via a paperless electronic process, allowing the salesmen to close deals in minutes with fast fund disbursement.
  • The financier takes a cut of each loan and lease as fees, benefiting itself, along with the high commissions the salesman gets. This shared incentive prioritizes high volume over consumer safeguards, positioning the salesfolk as key participants in the financier's business model.
  • This loan program enables exploitation of consumers by unscrupulous contractors and agents. It lacks effective protections against high-cost projects that consumers may not understand or authorize, or against aggressive, often criminal, door-to-door sales tactics.
  • The financier's model lets the sales scammers profit hugely by burdening consumers with massive debt. Emphasis on in-home sales, speed, paperless processes, and incentives allows rapid closures, locking consumers into long-term agreements with immediate commissions, often before they grasp the obligations or consult others.
  • The financier provides little oversight of its field agents, despite empowering them to originate large loans/leases. It relies on weak contractual warranties with installers, who often fail, go bankrupt, disappear and default on promises, while the financier collects fees even amid misconduct or fraud.
  • The financier misleads consumers by not disclosing true financing costs, boosting its revenue at borrowers' expense.

OUR HISTORY

The Crossroads of Ancient Honor and Modern Methods

In the misty realms of 15th-century Wallachia, Vlad III Tepes, born around 1431 as the son of Vlad Dracul, rose as a fierce prince amid the shadows of Ottoman encroachment. Exiled in youth and hardened by captivity in Turkish lands, he seized the throne in 1448, only to face relentless betrayals from boyars and invaders. Known as "the Impaler" for his gruesome method of executing foes—staking them alive on wooden poles as a deterrent—Vlad waged brutal campaigns, reclaiming his realm in 1456 and fortifying it against the Ottoman Empire. His 1462 ambush on Sultan Mehmed II's forces became legendary, though it led to his downfall and imprisonment. Released in 1476, he briefly ruled again before meeting a mysterious end in battle, his severed head displayed in Constantinople. Vlad's legacy, a blend of ruthless justice and national heroism, later inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula, immortalizing him as a symbol of unyielding defiance against tyranny.

In modern times, solar panel companies often scam victims through deceptive practices that exploit the growing interest in renewable energy, such as door-to-door salespeople targeting vulnerable groups like the elderly, veterans and minorities with high-pressure tactics, promising "free" installations or massive utility bill reductions that never materialize, only to lock them into predatory loans with hidden fees, escalating payments, or forged signatures on contracts. Fraudsters may misrepresent themselves as affiliates of utility providers, local governments, or legitimate solar firms, using fake documents to secure subsidies or approvals, then demanding upfront payments before vanishing without delivering functional systems. Other common schemes include exaggerating energy savings, providing substandard or counterfeit panels that fail prematurely, and burying unfavorable terms in fine print, like voided warranties or liens on homes, leaving the innocent buried in debt while the scammers evade accountability through shell companies or bankruptcy filings.

Under a blood moon, we fight back. Not with stakes of wood, but with digital lances:  revealing the criminal's lies, stolen funds and damaged rooves.  The scammers, cornered like the Ottoman spies of yore, faced justice - fines impaling their fortunes, prison terms skewering their schemes.  As the sun rose on empowered villagers installing genuine panels, our founder smiles faintly. "My ancestors fought empires with terror," he murmured. "I fight shadows with truth." And so, the Impaler's spirit lived on, guarding the light against modern darkness.  Call us today to start the process.
